Cyril Hardy is believed to be a pseudonym for Noel Leaver. He was a British watercolourist and teacher, born in Austwick, Yorkshire.

Cyril studied at Burnley School of Art, graduating in 1910. Having gained a travelling studentship in 1911 and a RIBA Owen Jones studentship in 1912, he then taught at the Halifax School of Art.

He travelled widely abroad and spent some time living and painting in Holland and France focussing mainly on architectural and coastal subjects.
